The
Annex Young Players, Ages 12-14
This yearlong
class is for the student who is committed to becoming a part of
a new theatre company for young performers. The students will
be involved in the entire process of putting on a play. Script
work, character development, dancing, singing, publicity, set
and props building, and of course a great deal of team-work will
be a part of this program. This class requires a full-year commitment.
Students will perform one play in the winter and another in June.

The
Glee Crew Ages 8-13
This class
is based on the popular TV show Glee. The students will learn
skills in harmony, pitch, and tempo, dance styles such as Hip
Hop, Musical Theatre and Jazz as they prepare several of their
favorite musical pieces from pop to R&B. A final presentation
will be showcased at the end of the term.

Audition
Preparation/Coaching
Private and
semi-private coaching is available for students auditioning for
an Arts High School, professional theatre or film productions.

Movie
Making Ages 9-13
Lights, Camera,
Action! Let your imagination take your movie where you want it
to go! You are in control; writing the script, directing the camera
shots and editing the final project. Your movie could end up in
Toronto’s Sprockets Film Festival!!!

Theatre
Sports Ages 9-13
Do you love
making people laugh? This class introduces the basic rules that
improvisers follow when performing without a script. Through fun
and challenging theatre exercises, students will learn to come
up with comedic characters and imaginative scenes on the spot.
This class emphasizes communication skills and teamwork, and provides
a great opportunity for young people to build self-confidence
and broaden their self-expression. There will be a presentation
on the last day of class.

The
Annex Young Players, Ages 15-18
This exciting
program will take the young actor through many aspects of the
theatre, including character and scene development, voice and
movement training. Students in this class will have the opportunity
to work with professional artists from the theatre and film industry
and put on a play for schools. Admittance to the course is by
audition only.
